The installation consists of an apple tree planted in a metal cube and a tiny train which circles around the tree. This work is a continuation of the interactive installation „Apple doesn‘t fall far from ...“ and demonstrates the functioning of local systems, movements, and seeming forward motion.

The train represents a craving for progress, motion, and romance. The apple tree symbolizes our ancestry, which at the same time may bear fruit. Running in circles, however, doesn‘t contribute to further development, but just changes the perspective of the spectator.
